Beginning Sunday, June 12, 2022, the wearing of masks will be optional. Our Bishop is still recommending that everyone wear masks during gatherings. The Worship and Music Committee and the Church Council discussed, in great detail, all aspects of our Bishop’s request. The final decision resulted in allowing each member the option to wear masks or not. However, we are asking that if you aren’t feeling well to either wear your mask or join our online worship service. If you should come down with Covid and have been at church just prior to your diagnosis, please contact the church office.
Other changes are we are asking for volunteers to be readers and Assisting Ministers; Communion will remain as it is now, with individuals taking Communion themselves at their seats; and the congregation will have the option to share the peace as they are comfortable. It will be announced at the services to be respectful of everyone’s individual choices. Our goal is to do our best to keep everyone safe. Should you have any questions please contact a Council member.
St. John’s continues to follow the CDC recommended guidelines for reducing the risk of spreading COVID-19 during worship gatherings and other activities inside our church buildings. We are committed to providing worship opportunities to allow you to safely worship. We offer two in-person Sunday services at 8:00am (which is also live streamed on Facebook) and 10:15am.
The sanctuary, bathrooms, and basement are spray sanitized between services with an odorless, quick drying solution.
We ask that if you are sick or experiencing any COVID-19 symptoms to please worship on-line. We hope that you enjoy your worship experience while working to keep everyone safe.
