Verse:

Paul writes, “And now, just as you accepted Christ Jesus as your Lord, you must continue to live in obedience to Him. Let your roots grow down into Him and draw up nourishment from Him, so you will grow in faith, strong and vigorous in the truth you were taught. Let your lives overflow with thanksgiving for all he has done.” Colossians 2:6-7

Lesson:

Throughout the Bible, we see that we are to be thankful to God for giving us life and all He provides for us, and thankful to Christ for the sacrifice He made for us. Today, take some time to reflect on what you are blessed with: family, friends, school, meals, etc. Even if you think you’ve got it bad, there is always someone somewhere else in the world who has it worse. Even if it’s the lunch or snack you just had, there is at least one thing you can be thankful for. Trust in the Lord and He will provide. Though faith is hard sometimes, it is KEY!

Prayer:

“Dear Jesus, I am so thankful for the many blessings in my life, even those things I may not understand as blessings. Help me to be faithful to your will.” – Amen
